Teens on the Job
Teens on the Job Shadow Day gives us a chance to show our region's future
workforce the opportunities here on Long Island. Employers and employees join in
a unique program designed to offer tenth graders the experience of a DAY in the
workplace.
Last year, over 550 Long Island employers hosted 1,100 tenth-grade students in a
special one day shadowing called Teens on the Job. Students got to see the world of
work and employees got a chance to showcase their work.
What do you have to do to participate?
Agree to have two students shadow an employee from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on
Shadow Day.
