Starting a Program

Many organizations that work with youth understand mentoring. Here at the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island, we supplement that knowledge and work with our expertise in the many facets of mentoring.

We help organizations with recruiting and training mentors through our Mentoring Academy. We help with technical assistance and design. Our team will provide classes to experienced mentors and even to the children being mentored. Programs that partner with us receive bimonthly reports on new funding sources, workshops and materials through our publication, Mentoring Matters.

We even offer periodic opportunities to provide some small start-up stipends to begin mentoring programs in new communities.

Our level of support to mentoring programs varies based on the needs of each community. We try to make mentoring work wherever we are!
