Program Types

We work with each sponsoring organization to create the program that best meets the needs of their particular group of children. As a general rule, most of the mentoring programs on Long Island are structured, are site based and are run by trained program coordinators. Logically, sponsoring organizations are most commonly

• Faith based organizations
• Corporations
• Schools

The majority of mentoring programs we work with are friendship programs; however, some are academic and some are a combination of the two. The goal in all cases is to build a program in each community to fill needs that are currently not being addressed in other ways. No doubt there is a program in your community or nearby that is the right one for you.
