The mission of the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island is to bring caring adults together with children in need through safe, effective mentoring programs.

Research has shown that children who have a caring adult in their lives have a better chance of staying in school, out of gangs and away from drugs. We wish that every child could have a mentor.

Since our founding, we have:

• touched the lives of 60,000 youth
• trained nearly 11,200 mentors
• connected 11,000 children with mentors
• assisted 220 programs with technical support
